Next in my series is the beautiful Crescent Moon.
As we all know that Moon's natural prominence in the sky and its regular cycle of phases have provided cultural reference and influence for human societies and culture.Beautiful phases of moon gets its place in poetry and literature and you will be amazed to see its influence in architecture also. Just imagine "The Moon on Earth " seems like fantasy but designers made it true.
By abandoning the conventional box-like form of buildings the architects and designers have created unique structures, which, while striking in appearance, also provide bright, practical spaces ,Eco friendly solutions,beautiful and sophisticated well shielded private areas etc.
So,
Be prepare to "land on Moon".

The crescent-shaped construction, considered a symbol of power and energy in the Orient, aims ‘to accentuate prosperity of the present-day United Arab Emirates’.
An architectural solution like that makes it possible to regulate the level of illumination and air temperatures at the different levels of the New Moon, protect the interiors from direct sunlight and ensure free circulation of air flows. These and other means of passive protection recreate inside the building areas with a special micro climate, and reduce the burden on the power supply systems.
Hotel Crescent, iconic off-shore hotel,part of the Caspian Plus redevelopment that stands as a curving arch similar to a crescent moon. The arch-like nature of the building is revealed by the fact that the structure isn't a pure crescent on its inside relying on more regularly shaped columns to help provide it with support.

The design of this five star resort is based on the idea of unity and infinity. At night the ring is reflected in the lake and looks like a full luminescent moon.
The shape of the building provides shade for all of the balconies and promotes natural ventilation. The ultra-white glass allows natural light into each room, thereby eliminating the need for additional artificial lighting during the day. This saves energy and creates a pleasant atmosphere as well.

"Moons" are hotels , the structures rise out of the sea offering secluded private beaches and can be reached by sea,road and air.
The house consists of two crescent-shaped forms connected by a curving corridor. The bedrooms, bathrooms and private living areas are located in the outer crescent, the solid convex wall of which shelters the house from the nearby road, while the inner crescent contains the open-plan living, kitchen and dining areas. The concave wall of the inner crescent is made from full-height panes of glass, giving an uninterrupted view of the garden.
